Joshua’s Tethered Cord Story

Joshua was born with a birth defect called a Tethered Cord. Dr. Sun met his mother when Joshua was just an infant. He  helped her understand that the tethered cord was a genetic problem, not something she did wrong while her son was growing inside her. Dr. Sun operated on Joshua to repair the defect. The little boy returned to Children's for a number of follow up visits. Today Joshua is an extremely active and very happy three year old.
