Madeline's Brain Tumor Story

Madeline had experienced problems with double vision and she was eventually diagnosed with a brain tumor. When she was 12 years old, Madeline was evaluated and underwent brain surgery with Dr. Sun.  She also went through chemotherapy to be sure that the cancer was removed from her body. It was a very difficult experience, but her family, Dr. Sun, and the staff at Children’s Hospital made the difference in her recovery. She was especially grateful to the outstanding  care provided by Philippa Doyle, RN, the oncology supervisor at the hospital. Today, Madeline has completed college and plans a career in engineering.
