Nichole's Chiari Malformation Story

When she was 12, Nichole was diagnosed with scoliosis. Her mother took her to her pediatrician where additional tests were performed. Her scoliosis was mild, but it was also determined that she had a Chiari I malformation. Nichole’s mother sought a second opinion where the diagnosis was confirmed. Dr. Sun performed the Chiari surgery on Nichole and she is now a great teenager, who is very athletic and about to go off to college.
