Laura's Brain Tumor Story

When Laura was in kindergarten she started to experience headaches. By the time she was ten, they became frequent and severe. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor near the highest vertebrae on her spine. The operation required that her surgeons, Dr. Sun (neurosurgery) and Dr. Toth (plastic and reconstructive surgery) perform a rarely used procedure to remove the growth through her mouth. The tumor proved to be benign, and today Laura is in college and enjoying her life.
